Cherrié | Lover of Life

Called into ministry at the age of 16 while on a missions trip to Mexico City, Mexico, Cherrié felt God’s call to minister healing to others, physically, emotionally and spiritually.

At the young age of 20, Cherrié went on a date with Dr. Tim Peterson and three weeks later they were engaged. Three months later they were married. They just celebrated their 34th anniversary.

Cherrié was supernaturally anointed for full time ministry by the Holy Spirit on her 25th birthday during a Sunday morning service. Shortly after recognizing her call and gifting for the work of the Lord, she was ordained by her local church leadership and began her healing, counseling and pastoral ministry.

In May 2019, Cherrié was awarded an honorary doctorate degree from Life Christian University.

Cherrié has been in full time ministry now for over 29 years. Her ministry has taken her to Mexico, Jamaica, China, India, Nepal, Russia, Norway, Honduras and Uganda. She is a gifted teacher of God’s word and ministers consistently in the prophetic. She moves dynamically in prophetic dreams, visions and their interpretations for herself and others.

She is blessed with an ever-loving and expanding family. Four grown children: Trey and his wife Stephany, Rachelle, Chantel and Trom. Three adorable grand children: Cyrus, Taytum and Cruz, who all call her “Mimi”. Not to forget her loving husband, Dr. Tim Peterson, whom she has been married to for over 35 years.

Her husband, Dr. Tim Peterson, founded Christian Family Church and they have co-pastored the Owatonna, Minnesota campus for over 40 years and the Edina, Minnesota campus for over 19 years.
